Das österreichische Kulturforum Belgrad wurde im Dezember 2001. eröffnet und befindet sich in der Belgrader Fußgängerzone Knez Mihaila. Das Kulturforum fördert die Darstellung österreichischer Kunst und Kultur in Serbien, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf zeitgenössischen und innovativen Projekten mit hoher Nachhaltigkeit liegt. Es initiiert kulturelle und wissenschaftliche Begegnungen mit dem Ziel, nachhaltige Netzwerke vor dem Hintergrund einer gemeinsamen Partnerschaft in Europa aufzubauen. Auf diese Weise soll auch ein Beitrag zur Schaffung einer europäischen Perspektive für Serbien geleistet werden. Bekanntlich ist die Integration des Westbalkans in die Europäische Union eine Priorität der österreichischen Außenpolitik. Die Aktivitäten des Kulturforums werden maßgeblich vom Österreich Institut (Sprachkurse), den Österreichbibliotheken in Belgrad und Novi Sad, den österreichischen Lektor/innen und dem von  KulturKontakt Austria und den zuständigen österreichischen Bundesministerien entsandten Bildungsbeauftragten mitgetragen. Zahlreiche Projekte des Kulturforums dienen der Förderung der Jugend, der zentralen Antriebskraft für den gesellschaftlichen und wirtschaftlichen Aufbau und die Reformbemühungen Serbiens. Schulwettbewerbe, Studentenreisen, Österreich Tage und Seminare werden zu diesem Zweck veranstaltet.

Austrijski kulturni forum Beograd je osnovan u decembru 2001. Nalazi se u ulici Kneza Mihaila u Beogradu. Kulturni forum podržava pred-stavljanje austrijske kulture i umetnosti u Srbiji , pri cemu su glavni ciljevi: realizovanje savremenih i inovativnih projekata koji otvaraju mogućnost daljeg razvoja i saradnje. Kulturni forum inicira prožimanje kulture i nauke sa ciljem uspostavljanja trajnih mreža na ovom području u čijoj pozadini se nalazi građenje zajedničkog partnerstva u Evropi. Na taj način Kulturni forum pokušava da pruži podršku Srbiji u jačanju njene evropske perspektive. Poznato je da je jedan od značajnih ciljeva spoljne politike Austrije integracija zapadnog Balkana u Evropsku uniju. Aktivnosti Kulturnog foruma se u velikoj meri realizuju kroz saradnju sa Austrijskim institutom (kursevi jezika), austrijskim bibliotekama u Beogradu, Novom Sadu, austrijskim lektorima, zatim organizacije KulturKontakt, kao i sa nadleznim koordinatorom za prosvetnu saradnju Saveznog ministarstva. Mnogobrojni projekti Kulturnog foruma služe za unapređenje mlade generacije kao centralne pokretačke sile za društvenu i privrednu izgradnju i reformsku inicijativu Srbije. U tu svrhu organizuju se školska takmičenja, studentska putovanja, „Dani Austrije“ i seminari iz različitih oblasti.

The Austrian Cultural Forum Belgrade was established in December 2001. It is located in the city centre of Belgrade, in Kneza Mihaila Street, which is the pedestrian quarter. The Austrian Cultural Forum seeks to enhance the appreciation of the Austrian contemporary culture and art in Serbia. Its core objectives include promoting cultural and scientific activities which have a long-term cooperation prospective. The ACF supports interdisciplinary projects which involve artistic and scientific endeavours aiming  at creating sustainable regional networking and having in mind Serbia’s future in the European Union as one of the major goals of the Austria’s foreign policy is  the integration of the Western Balkans into the European Union. The activities of the ACF include a substantial cooperation with the Austrian Institute and with the Austrian libraries in Belgrade and in Novi Sad, as well as the collaboration with KulturKontakt Austria, with the Austrian lectors and with the Austrian coordinator for the cooperation in the field of education. A considerable share of the ACF projects involve support of the youth, since the youth is perceived as essential for the economic and social development as well as for the necessary reforms in Serbia. Having this in mind, various school contests, study trips, “Austrian Days” and various seminars are carried out.
